Chair Woman - Katie Hurrell a.k.a BAD AIDS!
Katie the absolute legend! Where do I begin? Well, Katie will be the person to go to if you need anything at all. She's reliable, strong minded and the best person possible for the job. She will be head of the circle this year, making sure you all do your fines, get you all playing and I can garuntee that after a night out with the hockey lot you will be wanting more! Katie has pleanty of skills to keep us all under control, as crazy as we can be. She was tour fresher when she went on tour in 2008, but has learnt to E.G a jug from now on! Her presence is strongly felt on and off the pitch. One of the most loyal, trustworthy members of the club - she really is an asset and I can't wait for the up coming year!
Vice Chair Woman - Michaela Blakeley aka muc
Michaela is the perfect partner in crime for Katie! She will be in charge of all the clubs pennies, and when Katie's away Michaela is in charge. She is a little bundle of joy with the biggest personality. After being matches and fixtures last year she has the best organisational skills to keep the club up and running. She's awesome on socials, she puts everything she has into the club and just a pretty decent all rounder i'd say. She thoroughly enjoyed tour last year and I can't wait to see her in action over the next year. I do believe her bantering skills needs some improvement though, hehe!
First Team Captain - Hannah-Beth aka HB, Barbie Girl
Hannah-Beth has the responsibility of taking care of the first team this year. She is definately reliable, hard working and so much fun. She has the power to select which lucky people will be playing in her team at trials. Hannah-Beth is a fast paced, gracious on the hockey pitch, but get half a glass of wine in her and she's gone! Although her ability in the drinking circle isn't as impressive as some of our other memebers due to being an absolute light weight, she's always up for a laugh, getting involved and just loves every moment of it. We havn't seen Hannah-Beth on tour yet, but I hope that she will grace us with her presence this year. I have every faith in her to be a brilliant captain this year, leading the team to victory on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
First Team Vice Captain - Annika Hall
Annika has become a great part of the club this year, especially as a fresher! She was incredible at roses this year and she is a great player out on the field and at indoor too. Although she seems a little shy to begin with she really is a vital member of the club. She's reliable, lovely and such an outgoing thing, especially after she gets a drink inside of her Annika will help Hannah-Beth with everything ranging from umpires to looking after equipment, and filling in if HB can't be around. No challange is too great for this one, just you wait and see!
Second Team Captain - Erika Vann aka ezza, pie
Well, Erika has great dedication to the team and that's why she's perfect for the role of second team captain. She is the fastest thing on the wing, a vital part of the second team for the last two years. Erika has the most infectious laugh ever, and her love for food, especially pies, is hilarious, Erika is dedicated, always at training, and will have the best skills and attitude to lead the 2s to win the league this year, even though we were so close last season, coming second. Therefore, Erika is a very reliable person and is just what the second team needs to be victorious once again! Erika is certain to be a great captain, on and off the field!
Second Team Vice Captain - Sacha Douchars aka FIERCE!
Sacha is from the Isle of Man - no need to say anymore really do we! She is such a star on the hockey pitch, a brilliant defender and nearly impassible, great comfort to a keeper. Her skills at indoor were awesome, a strong player at Roses. Sacha is known to us as FIERCE, as you will all get to know soon. Although a quiet sort of girl usually, once she's a part of that drinking circle her alter ego kicks in and there's no stopping her. Always fun to be had when Sacha is about! Erika and Sacha will be a wonderfully oiled ruling machine for the seconds.
Third Team Captain - Amy Hall aka A-Hole, library lover
This lady is full to the brim of third team pride and I can tell she's ready and rearing to go next season. Amy has a big job to do this year, mainting THIRD TEAM PRIDE and keeping all the new young freshers in line. I feel she has great characteristics to be a great captain this year, she's one of the most dedicated members of the club, always at training, regardless of the time or weather conditions. Amy seriously is a trooper! She has a tough job to do by being in the same league as the 2s but I have every confidence that she can rise to the challenge. Amy attends many socials, always rising to the challange and out going. The only problem we have with Amy is that she has an unnatural bond with the library!! She's even in an official relationship with the library on Facebook!
Third Team Vice Captain - Melissa Barman
Mel is one of the most improved player this club saw last year and a great person to know. She's dedicated, hard working and always striving to get to that ball before her opponent Her determination is inspiring. Mel and Amy will be a great team this year. Although Mel is a bit on the quiet side I have every confidence that she will get her voice heard this year, making sure all the new young un's knows what to do.
Social Secretary - Ffion Davies aka Finny Jones
Right, well it's my turn to talk about myself, and I'm glad I'm writing this because if it was left to anyone else then it'd just be plain embarrasing. It's my job this year (along with my birthday twin Nina) to arrange all the wonderfully awesome socials for us all to go on. We usually have socials on Wednesdays and Saturdays, of course, fancy dress is involved! The socials can get very messy at times, but always great fun and brilliant way to get to know the rest of your team and club members! And just incase you're wondering, if you're not a drinker or not a heavy drinker then we have non-alcoholic socials on a reglar basis and you are more than welcome to join in and laugh at everyone else if you don't want to drink. I sometimes opt out of drinking (if i have an essay due in the next day which i havn't started yet or something alonge those lines) and I always have a great time. I'm one of the keepers so you can pretty much always hear me on the pitch, and I'm also a shark. Yep, I bet you didn't see that one coming! Cripes, good times!
Social Secretary - Nina Sethi aka Nino Bear
Nina is the loudest person in the whole wide world! When she joined the club she put down her level of skill was "the world"! Lemon, to say the least! She is such an awesome person, always lively, plenty to say and such a good player on the pitch. She has some amazing ideas for socials this year to keep us all entertained, and is always ready with her MEGA PEG! You will find out what this is soon, trust me, no one escapes Nina's bloody peg of the mega-ness! I'm looking forward to working with her this year, it will prove to be filled with awesome adventures for us all!
Matches and Fixtures - Natalie tyson aka Natters
Nat is a bit of a legend that settled very comfortably in the first team last season and is pretty much irreplaceable at the back. She is very level headed, a great laugh and has serious organisational skills, which is definately needed to be in charge of all the matches and fixtures proceedings,because at the end of the day, that's what we do... play hockey. So if you need to know what socks to wear with what shirt Nat's the person to go to. She has the important job of organising umpires and ensuring that each team are playing in the right place and we know that she can do it to a tremendous level. She is another member to watch out for at socials, always turning up to pretty much most of them, if she's not called to the RAF to be a pilot and all that jazz! Nat brings pride to the fresher title.
Health and Safety - Eleri Jones aka Little Egg
Eleri is a little welsh loveable gem! She is one of the funniest people I've ever met. Eleri is a talented player, showing off her talents on the outdoor pitch and indoor! She's extremely dedicated and an easy person to go up to if you ever need anything. As she is Health and Safety this year then if you need an ice pack or a plaster then Eleri is the person to go to. She'll make sure that every team's equipped with highly trained first aiders, and sufficient medical supplies. Eleri is also another lover of the social aspect of the club, turning out in true force every week without fail. Brillo! Just watch out for her and her fresher challanges and shotguns, ever since tour that's all that she's managed to say now.
