ROSES 2008!! The results are in

Well, well, well what a weekend of fun and games! Even though Lancaster were robbed this year, losing by only 2 points to York the Hockey Girls were victorious in EVERY GAME, execpt from the mixed 1sts.  Indoor 2nds won 2-1.  Indoor 1sts won by an unbelievable 12-0!  Outdoor 2nds won 4-1.  Outdoor 1sts won 2-1.  If those results arn't something to be exceptionally proud of I don't know what is.  We couldn't have done it without the superb dedication from both teams.  A massive thank you goes out to the captains who worked so hard all season and especially towards Roses.Indoor 1sts captain - Katie Plant.Indoor 2nds captain - Katie Hurrell.  Outdoor 1sts captain - Katie Plant.  Outdoor 2nds captain - Ellyse Maddocks. Thank you so much for everything, you are legends!

ROSES!!

May 1st, 2008What a great way to start the new news page on the website by explaining about Roses.  The biggest tournament in the history of Lancaster University is only a day away and expectations are high as well as mood and of course nerves.  We have been training incredibly hard over the past few weeks, recovering from the carnage that was tour and preparing ourselves to battle it out against York.  We have pulled together as a club and become one lean, mean fighting machine, ready for the games ahead.  We have several teams, 2 indoor, 2 out door and hopefully 3 mixed teams.  I'm proud to be part of the club, especially when it comes to events like these.  C'mon girls, we can do it... then it's off to keys in celebration! TOUCH THE CUP!
